Jan.2007 Robert Cameron, Maryland, USA
".....my wife and I recently discovered your website, and have found it to be a goldmine of memories. We lived at 175 James St.(the Post Office Pend),  emigrated in 1965, and now live in Maryland, U.S.A.  I am attaching a photo of the 1951 Class from "Big"  John Street School which I attended from 1946 -1951. I look forward to hearing from you, and hopefully contribute further to the GlesgaPals website."
Robert's wife, Betty (nee Boyle) was born and raised at 175 James St.,and attended both "big" and "wee" John St. Schools. She is included in photos taken in John St. Primary 1946, and in John St.Secondary1950. After leaving John St. school she went to work for Mavor & Coulson.
Robert & Betty were married in Dalmarnock Congregational Church in 1955, and when he was demobbed from National Service in 1958, they moved into a house at the same 175 James St., 3 up (above the Post Office), where they stayed until they emigrated to Canada in 1965 with their two daughters.
Now living in the USA.
Robert said " there's a lot to remember and just to mention a few, Scobies Hairdressers, the Keystane(in James St.then), Walker's Bar in London Road and Reekies Chip Shop in James St.  It was great to be reminded of these places through photos, and other contributions to the GlesgaPals website. We have already made great contacts it has been a great discovery."
