Hello there, I have seen
that you have posted pictures from Glasgow
elementary schools in the 50s, and I recognise my father in two of them
if you would like to add them, though I realise this page is very
In the Newlands School 1955a my
father is in the top row, very centre (fifth from left)
In the Newlands School 1958 he is again
fifth from right (the tallest of the bunch!) His name is Grant Laing. He passed away in 2013.
Thanks for providing these photos! These are some of the only ones we have of him.

School photo 1955a Top row, third from left is John Hunter.
I think the boy 3rd from the left in row 4 might be James Spence. The girl 7th in the 2nd row may be Pamela Stevenson.
The boy 1st in the front row may be Brian Morton ?
In the Riverside 1959 photo I think I may be
the person top row 3rd from left , although it has the name Ian
Buchanan. Not sure though. Thanks for your good work
