    Dalmarnock Primary School by Robert Newbigging. 


Robert is a former pupil of Dalmarnock Primary School and through my school website he made contact with the school and we asked him if he would do some paintings to celebrate the school's last year in the old building. Dalmarnock School has been in existence since 1893, a new school building is planned for 2006

Here is one of the paintings Robert painted from a school photograph I sent him.........
 

 

see Dalmarnock School website  sadly the old school closed in 2007 and a new school was built.

....great stuff, webmaister, we're so lucky tae hiv such talent on Glesga Pals. the painting by Robert of  Dalmarnock school is just like the view I got from my bedroom windae at 186 Baltic St..I stayed jist above Rab an Millie McArthur's wee shop

Webmaister: aye it stirs  few memories for me too Missy, I lived just along from you and played fitba where that horse is!
