The company was formed in 1914 under the name of the 4th Rutherglen but was integrated in session 1920/21 into Glasgow Battalion to become its present designation. They are part of Cathkin District and the only original Rutherglen company still in operation...........

2007.....Wardlawhill Church in Hamilton Road, Rutherglen closed and formed a union with the Rutherglen West Parish Churh ( home of the 248th BB) to become Rutherglen West & Wardlawhill Parish Church. However the 195 BB company continue to meet in its Hamilton Road church hall, under the auspices of Alistair K. McInnes, the company Captain.    ( Alistair kindly wrote to me in Jan.2008 to give me this update.)

An absolute fabulous photograph from 1926 a BB company proudly showing the pipe band, officers and NCOs

Another wonderful photograph taken 1950, they certainly knew how to set-up a photograph in those days!
This was taken in front of the Church Hall in Hamilton Road.
